The Board of Directors of the Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) announces the departure of its Director, Prof. Dr. Mühlschlegel. Prof. Dr. André Rosenthal (Berlin, Germany) acts as of today as interim Director until a new Director is appointed.

After more than 5 years within the LNS, Prof. Dr. Mühlschlegel has decided for personal reasons to pursue other professional opportunities outside Luxembourg.

Prof. Dr. Evelin Schröck, President of the Board of Directors, comments: “I would like to pay tribute to Prof. Dr. Mühlschlegel’s constant commitment to the LNS. In particular, he has enabled the development and establishment of the National Center of Genetics and the National Center of Pathology, two national centres created by the law of 8 March 2018 on hospitals and hospital planning. I wish him every success in his future projects.”
