After several years of organizing school visits on request, the Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is taking a new step by formalizing these visits through a structured programme, now directly accessible on its website. A dedicated page allows teachers and students to submit their requests online by selecting the date and department of their choice: www.lns.lu/en/school-visits-at-lns/
These school visits, organized within the diagnostic departments of the LNS, offer young people an immersion into the scientific world: discovering laboratory professions, public health research, and the missions that contribute every day to protecting and improving the well-being of Luxembourg’s population. Students also have the opportunity to interact with LNS experts and gain a concrete understanding of the role of diagnostics in the healthcare system.
This initiative is part of the LNS’s educational mission, alongside other actions such as university training and practical work within the Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Luxembourg, as well as hosting interns for their first professional experience.
By putting its expertise at the service of all — and especially of the next generation of healthcare professionals, the LNS reaffirms its commitment to fostering scientific curiosity, promoting careers in healthcare, and enhancing public understanding of health issues.
