About LNS

The « Laboratoire National de Santé » (LNS) is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg. As a multidisciplinary institute, the LNS consists of four scientific departments in the fields of medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection. In addition, the LNS is also hosting the National Center of Pathology and the National Center of Genetics. The LNS has its premises in Dudelange since 2013.

The mission of the LNS is to develop analytical and scientific expertise related to the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases and to ensure the role of a national control or reference laboratory as well as to carry out forensic tasks. The institution also contributes to the development, harmonization and promotion of technical laboratory methods in close collaboration with local and international analytical laboratories. Within the scope of its responsibilities, the LNS is also leading research and teaching activities in collaboration with partners in Luxembourg and abroad.

With its modern infrastructure in line with the recent evolution of medical and analytical sciences, the LNS is an ambitious laboratory with innovative projects that increase its expertise in public health.


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst ref°136 to join our IT department on a permanent full-time contract (CDI).


Your responsibilities:


Process Improvement & requirements gathering:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and enhance current business processes, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with end-users and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into actionable guidelines for IT and relevant departments.

Project Management & Communication/Collaboration:

  • Contribute to project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and overseeing timelines, deliverables, and milestones for successful completion.
  • Effectively communicate with internal teams, offering insights based on data analysis, and collaborate with external suppliers, ensuring seamless coordination of activities.

Data Analysis, Reporting and Dashboards:

  • Analyze laboratory data, performance metrics, and KPIs to identify trends and patterns, providing valuable insights for data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards for diverse stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery crucial for strategic planning and decision-making.

Your profile:


Experienced Business Analyst:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally in healthcare or laboratory environments.
  • Proven success in implementing process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency.

Project Management Proficiency:

  • Solid understanding of the development/project life cycle.
  • Hands-on experience in project management processes, including business analysis, estimation, resource allocation, monitoring, and reporting.

Language and Technical Skills:

  • Fluency in both written and spoken French and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail, familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.

Versatile Communication, Team Player and Problem Solver:

  • Effective communication with both business and technical departments.
  • Positive and flexible attitude, capable of working under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose solutions to business constraints.
