The Laboratoire National de Santé (LNS) is a public institution under the authority of the Luxembourg Ministry of Health and Social Security. As a multidisciplinary institute, the LNS is organized around four diagnostic departments in the fields of medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection. It housestwo national centers, dedicated to Pathology and Genetics. Theses activities are supported by administrative and financial department.
The mission of the LNS is to develop analytical and scientific expertise in the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases, serve as a national control or reference laboratory and to carry out medico-legal tasks. The LNS actively contributes to the development, harmonization and promotion of technical laboratory methods in collaboration with local and international analytical laboratories. As part of its responsibilities, the LNS also carries out research and teaching activities in collaboration with partners in Luxembourg and abroad.
Equipped with a modern infrastructure aligned with the latest advancements in medical and analytical sciences, the LNS is an ambitious laboratory whose innovative projects reinforce its expertise in public health.
Reporting to the Direction, the Communication Service plays a central role in promoting and enhacing the institution’s image and reputation. Its main mission is to raise the institution’s profile through transparent, consistent and effective communication, both internally and externally.
The team highlights the LNS’s activities, expertise and achievements to a wide range of audiences, while ensuring effective and professional support for the media, guaranteeing access to accurate and reliable information. It also supports the creation and dissemination of various communication materials and oversees the organization of internal and external events events (symposia, conferences, open days), thereby enriching institutional life and fostering engagement with stakeholders.Our communication service is looking for a full-time intern on a 6-month contractual basis ideally starting in May 2025.
