About the National Health Laboratory :

The Laboratoire National de Santé is a public establishment under the supervision of the Luxembourg Ministry of Health. Organised as a multidisciplinary institute and supported by an administrative department, the LNS has four scientific departments in the fields of medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection, as well as hosting the National Centre of Pathology and the National Centre of Genetics.

The LNS occupies new premises in Dudelange, with a modern infrastructure in line with recent developments in medical science.

The LNS aims to develop its scientific and analytical expertise in the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases. Its ultimate aim is to serve patients and the general public by providing them with excellent support.

Our Finance Department is looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant (m/f) for a 12-month fixed-term position.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Management of various administrative tasks (invoice scans, checks, etc.) and internal customer requests (creation of items, modifications, etc.)
  • To monitor purchase orders, providing the necessary support from the expression of need (Purchase Request) to dispatch to the supplier, while ensuring that everything is correct and complies with the procedures in force.
  • Making online purchases by credit card
  • Ensure compliance with current purchasing procedures
  • Play an active role in the department’s ISO 9001 certification, in particular by drafting procedures and reviewing work processes
  • Processing analyses abroad
  • Checking and processing incoming invoices
  • Processing of goods received from Customs (e.g. Ethanol and denatured alcohol)
  • Validation and submission on the Customs Portal

 

The above list is not exhaustive. Tasks may vary according to the needs of the department.

 

Profile required:

  • Minimum national or foreign BAC diploma
  • Fluency in French and English required. German would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in the usual Microsoft Office software tools
  • Knowledge of Odoo ERP is an advantage
