Quality System Officer (m/f) Ref°555

Type of contract: Full-time and determined duration contract (CDD)

 

To support our Quality team, we are currently looking for a Quality System Officer (m/f) for a 12-month fixed-term position on a full-time basis.

As a Quality System Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our documentation system to ensure compliance with ISO 15189 and ISO 17025 standards.

 

About the Laboratoire National de Santé

The « Laboratoire National de Santé » (LNS) is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg. As a multidisciplinary institute, the LNS consists of four scientific departments in the fields of medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection. In addition, the LNS is also hosting the National Center of Pathology and the National Center of Genetics. The LNS has its premises in Dudelange since 2013.

The mission of the LNS is to develop analytical and scientific expertise related to the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases and to ensure the role of a national control or reference laboratory as well as to carry out forensic tasks. The institution also contributes to the development, harmonization and promotion of technical laboratory methods in close collaboration with local and international analytical laboratories. Within the scope of its responsibilities, the LNS is also leading research and teaching activities in collaboration with partners in Luxembourg and abroad.

With its modern infrastructure in line with the recent evolution of medical and analytical sciences, the LNS is an ambitious laboratory with innovative projects that increase its expertise in public health.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Upgrade the Documentation System: Implement improvements to our documentation system to meet ISO 15189 and ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Training and Assistance: Train and provide guidance to relevant personnel on documentation rules and best practices.
  • Document Handling: Efficiently handle intake, scanning, and secure storage of documents.
  • Document Design: Create templates for documents, file types, and document databases to streamline operations.
  • Document integrity/compliance: Check and edit documents for accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Document Flow Control: Manage the flow of documents in and out of the Central LNS, ensuring a smooth and organized process.
  • Filing and Archiving: Organize and archive relevant documentation in a systematic manner.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate the release of documentation throughout the organization.
  • Document Security: Ensure the secure destruction and disposal of sensitive documents in accordance with data protection regulations.
  • System Maintenance & confidentiality: Update and maintain document management systems and physical records to ensure accessibility, compliance and confidentiality.

 

Qualifications:

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g Quality Management) or equivalent experience.
  • Min. 2 years of experience in similar role
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of ISO 15189 and ISO 17025 standards is a strong plus
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in document management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and training abilities.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
