Governance bodies
The governance of the Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is based on complementary bodies that oversee its strategic direction, management and scientific development. They ensure that the LNS’s missions are properly carried out in line with its public health responsibilities, while supporting its ongoing development and future strategic priorities.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the LNS. It defines the laboratory’s general policy, organisation and operations in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations and agreements.

Executive Committee
The Management Committee, composed of the Director and the Heads of Departments, is responsible for coordinating the activities of the LNS.
Its role is essential in ensuring the organisation, planning and oversight of activities, as well as ensuring that actions are aligned with the institution’s overall vision and long-term objectives. The Committee meets regularly to discuss major decisions concerning the development of the LNS and to monitor progress towards the objectives that have been set.

Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Council assists the Board of Directors in developing the LNS’s scientific strategy.
Composed of national and international experts, it helps ensure the scientific quality of the LNS’s activities, provides opinions on strategic directions and draft multi-year agreements on objectives and resources, and makes recommendations regarding the laboratory’s scientific activities.
Through its expertise, the Scientific Council ensures consistency between scientific priorities, public health missions and the institution’s development.
