LNS and OGBL Reach Agreement on the First Renewal of the Collective Agreement
2026 08-05

The LNS Collective Agreement, which entered into force in 2023, is now undergoing its first renewal. The negotiations aimed to consolidate the achievements of this initial agreement while addressing several issues and needs identified during its first years of implementation.

Following the agreement’s termination in September 2025, discussions between the LNS management and the OGBL resulted in a new agreement in less than a year, demonstrating the strength of the social dialogue and the shared commitment of both parties to further develop the collective agreement in the best interests of both employees and the institution.

The agreement includes, in particular:

  • the payment of a one-off retroactive bonus covering the 2023–2025 period;
  • a recalculation of salary steps to continue the harmonisation initiated under the first Collective Agreement;
  • an increase in the value of meal vouchers;
  • an increase in the annual holiday allowance;
  • a revision of the salary scale for the C2 (PhD) career path;
  • an enhancement of the career framework for administrative secretaries.

These measures represent tangible improvements to employees’ remuneration and, in particular, provide greater recognition of professional experience.

The LNS management and the OGBL welcome the conclusion of this agreement, which marks a new milestone in the development of the Collective Agreement and reaffirms their shared commitment to maintaining a constructive and high-quality social dialogue for the benefit of both LNS employees and the institution as a whole.
