International specialists in hair analysis met in Malaga from 4th to 5th March 2022 to discuss a new consensus on hair analysis.

The meeting, which was organised by the Society of Hair Testing (SoHT), focused on general aspects of hair testing including sampling, sample continuity, storage, segmentation, washing, pre-analytical steps, analytical techniques, and quality control and considerations for interpretation.

This new consensus should update a recommendation dating from 2003.
