The LNS: the nerve centre during the COVID-19 pandemic
The team of the Laboratoire national de santé is pleased to invite you to its Open Day which will take place on Saturday 18 September from 10am to 5pm.
Since its creation, the LNS has established itself as an essential player in clinical diagnosis, public health and scientific research. A real nerve centre in these times of pandemic, it is for example in its microbiology laboratory that the first positive samples for SARS-CoV-2 were analysed and that the virus is sequenced. In addition, its national diagnostic centres (pathology and genetics) and scientific departments (medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection) are developing analytical and expert activities related to the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases.
The LNS experts will give you an overview of the different activities through exhibitions, fun activities, information stands, videos, guided tours (laboratories, infrastructure, autopsy room)…
So if you are curious to discover what goes on behind the scenes, don’t hesitate to come with friends and family to spend an unforgettable moment.
This event is organised under the CovidCheck regime with the obligation to wear a mask.
