Meet Bruno, François, Éric and Michel
Our Technical Services Team
Présentation de Bruno, François, Éric and Michel
At the LNS, every diagnosis relies on reliable, secure and fully operational infrastructure. This is precisely the mission of our Technical Services team : ensuring the smooth operation of the building, facilities and equipment that allow diagnostic testing and analysis to be carried out under the best possible conditions.
Bruno, Éric, François and Michel are familiar faces at the institution: everyone knows them, and they know everyone. Their work brings them into contact with every department and takes them into every corner of the infrastructure.
From adapting and transforming facilities, to monitoring the proper functioning of ventilation, heating, air-conditioning and electrical systems; from managing building elements such as doors, windows and blinds, to overseeing the operation of the “Warentransportsystem” (goods transport system), as well as preparing the conference room… the list is so long that it would be impossible to mention everything, yet every task is essential. The service also coordinates preventive maintenance (anticipating the replacement of parts to prevent breakdowns) and corrective maintenance (repairing defective equipment), in collaboration with external service providers.
What does their day-to-day work involve? Anticipating needs, responding to emergencies when necessary, while ensuring proactive technical management of the building. The technicians also provide on-call support outside working hours, ensuring the continuity of service that is essential to the organisation’s activities. The Technical Service often works behind the scenes, but its contribution is very real: without its daily interventions, there would be no reliable technical equipment, no optimal environmental conditions in the laboratories, no comfort for staff and therefore no scientific excellence.
“Thanks to them, we have been able to carry out numerous projects and keep our building in perfect condition,” says Frédéric, the Unit Manager. “I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for their commitment, team spirit and reliability. We are very fortunate to have them.”They take the compliment with a modest smile and a touch of humour: “Technical Services are like microorganisms: you don’t always see them, but without them, nothing works.”
The atmosphere within the team is excellent, and it shows: “We come to work with a smile. What motivates us is knowing that our work is useful and appreciated. We always try to do our best for everyone.”
