The Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is recruiting a “Facilities Maintenance Manager (M/F)” for a full time position (40h/week) with a 1 year fixed term contract for the Facility Management department.

About the Laboratoire national de santé (LNS)

The LNS is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg. Organised as a multidisciplinary institute and supported by a professional services team, the LNS includes four scientific departments in the fields of medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection, in addition to hosting the National Center of Pathology and the National Center of Genetics. The LNS has its new premises in Dudelange, with state of the art, modern infrastructure in line with recent developments in medical sciences. Its objective is to develop scientific and analytical expertise related to the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases. Its ultimate mission is to serve patients and citizens and offer excellence in health care.

Job Description

Main Activities

  • Project manage centralized maintenance activities of the LNS
  • Plan and coordinate building modifications in cooperation with internal clients
  • Liaise with the different scientific departments to understand and meet their needs
  • Manage relationships and contracts with service providers
  • Monitor and maintain equipment inventory
  • Maintain maintenance logs and reports of equipment and building installations
  • Implementation of quality documents
  • Monitor building energy consumption

Desired Profile

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business management or similar
  • Fluency in French and English is necessary. Fluency in German is a strong asset
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations
  • Experience using an ERP system including maintenance planning tools
  • Practical knowledge of project management
  • Experience in writing quality documents for central QMS
  • Strong competence in MS Office applications
  • Experience in AutoCAD is a strong asset
