The Laboratoire national de santé (Luxembourg public institution) is recruiting a Outreach project officer(m/f) for a full time (40 h/week) role and a fixed-term contract of one year for the Department of Microbiology.

The “Laboratoire national de santé” (LNS) is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg. Organized as a multidisciplinary institute and supported by a professional services team, the LNS includes four scientific departments in medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection, in addition to hosting the National Center of Pathology and the National Center of Genetics.

The LNS has its premises in Dudelange, with state-of-the-art, modern infrastructure in line with recent developments in medical sciences.

 

Job description

The Department of Microbiology is looking for an Outreach Project Officer to support and implement communication and outreach strategies in the  framework of a EU project aiming to further develop and expand Whole Genome Sequencing for viral pathogens and to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The candidate will work in close collaboration with the project manager and the project team to achieve the following key missions:

  • Developing and applying the Dissemination, Exploitation, Communication and Outreach plan for the project
  • Develop, maintain and update communication channels for the project: website, social media and newsletters
  • Organize outreach and public engagement activities: workshops, meetings
  • Write dissemination and communication reports

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor or Master degree in communication with at least 1 to 5 years experience in similar role in an academic institution or health care industry
  • Experience in digital communication including website/social media outlets and organization of events
  • Strong and proactive monitoring of the assigned tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Rigor, motivation, creativity and originality, writing skills, conciseness, sense of priority and ability to work in a team
  • Exceptional integrity
  • Languages skills: excellent command of English and French, additional knowledge of German or Luxembourgish would be considered a strong asset
