Quality Coordinator (m/f) Ref° 24400

We are currently looking for a Quality Coordinator for the department of National Center of Pathology (m/f) for a permanent position on a full-time basis.

As a Quality Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our documentation system throughout the department to ensure compliance with ISO 15189.

About the Laboratoire national de santé

The « Laboratoire National de Santé » (LNS) is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in Luxembourg. As a multidisciplinary institute, the LNS consists of four scientific departments in the fields of medical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and health protection. In addition, the LNS is also hosting the National Center of Pathology and the National Center of Genetics. The LNS has its premises in Dudelange since 2013.

The mission of the LNS is to develop analytical and scientific expertise related to the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of human diseases and to ensure the role of a national control or reference laboratory as well as to carry out forensic tasks. The institution also contributes to the development, harmonization and promotion of technical laboratory methods in close collaboration with local and international analytical laboratories. Within the scope of its responsibilities, the LNS is also leading research and teaching activities in collaboration with partners in Luxembourg and abroad.

With its modern infrastructure in line with the recent evolution of medical and analytical sciences, the LNS is an ambitious laboratory with innovative projects that increase its expertise in public health.

Your responsibilities:

You will report to the Chief Quality Officer and the head of department in collaboration with heads of service and quality referents. In this context, you will be responsible for:

  • Organize and ensure the maintenance of Quality Management System throughout the department.
  • Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) in the department and maintain its effectiveness according to relevant version ISO 15189.
  • Follow-up and analysis of non-conformities, complaints, customer satisfaction surveys, etc. in collaboration with the Quality Referents.
  • Involvement in the identification and analysis of quality problems by proposing corrective actions.
  • Inform and report any malfunction to the Heads of Department (need for resources, risks, etc).
  • Monitor, update, implement and disseminate legislative regulations.
  • Plan and participate in the follow-up of various audits (internal and accreditation).
  • Prepare and participate in management reviews/quality meetings.
  • Inform and train the laboratory staff in the field of quality.

Qualifications:

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g Quality Management) or equivalent experience.
  • Min. 5 years of experience in similar role
  • Fluency in English. French, German and/or Luxembourgish would be an asset
  • Knowledge of ISO 15189 standard is a strong plus
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in document management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and training abilities.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
  • A basic knowledge of Anatomic Pathology is a plus
