The objective of the communication unit is to further improve the visibility of the LNS and to promote honest and open communication both internally and externally. In addition, the team set up ensures that journalists are provided with effective support for their information mission. Similarly, the communication unit assists in the production of documents of all kinds (activity report, leaflets …), as well as in the organization of internal or external LNS events (conferences, workshops…).

Data Protection

to protect personal data within the LNS

Data protection officer (DPO)

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is the person in charge of personal data protection within the LNS. In this capacity, he/she ensures that LNS processes the personal data of its patients, staff and suppliers in compliance with the applicable data protection rules.

He/she has several tasks and obligations including informing, advising and supporting all of the LNS’ employees to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The DPO shall perform his/her duties and tasks independently. He/she reports to the Director on the data protection situation of the LNS.

Risk Management

to identify, analyse and assess the risks in order to reduce their impact

Designated as a “critical infrastructure” by the High Commission for National Protection (HCPN), LNS attaches great importance to risk management. With the implementation of a dedicated policy, LNS is putting risk management at the heart of its operations.

Under the supervision of the LNS Management (Direction), the LNS operational risk officer works closely with the scientific and administrative departments to apply a risk management policy.

All risks must be systematically identified, recorded, assessed, controlled and mitigated until they are deemed acceptable by the process owners.

The risk officer reports to the LNS Management (Direction) and to the LNS Risk Committee who oversees risk management to ensure compliance with ISO standards and applicable regulations.

IT

to support technological innovation in our laboratory

In addition to setting up and administering the systems and networks required for the LNS’s activities, while guaranteeing the required level of security, the IT department develops tools in line with the Laboratory’s activities, as well as integrating and training on external tools.

It is also responsible for coordinating the Internet network and the services used by the Centre des technologies de l’information de l’État (CTIE). It is also responsible for secure electronic transmissions between the Laboratory and other healthcare players.

Last but not least, it acts as a Helpdesk, guaranteeing support for Laboratory users and external customers under service contracts with the LNS.
