Virtual forum Lux-MicroHub
2020 10-09

The COVID-19 pandemic put virtual meetings at center stage. The LNS Microbiology Department would like to capitalize on this new scientific era by gathering online interested parties for knowledge sharing and scientific learning. The team therefore created the virtual forum, Lux-MicroHub, to bring you together, on a monthly basis, to present and discuss the latest advances in Clinical Microbiology.

Thus, it is a great pleasure to invite you to attend the very first online Lux-MicroHub seminar which will take place this Friday, 09 October 2020 (10-11 am) via the following Webex link: https://lns.webex.com/lns/j.php?MTID=m1cac38b06f7000190eefb91141d84c8c

The conference will start with a presentation entitled “Characterization of COVID-19 infection in Luxembourg” by Lise Pignon, Master student at the LNS which will be followed by an open discussion on the importance of viral genomics in the COVID-19 pandemic moderated by Dr Tamir Abdelrahman, Head of the Microbiology Department at the LNS. The session will be held in English.

The team would like to take the opportunity to invite you all to join the speakers’ list of this forum by contacting microbiology@lns.etat.lu as they will develop a range of new session formats with exciting content to encourage knowledge sharing and networking between physicians, researchers, young investigators and partners.

Looking forward to meeting you via Webex as we work together to advance the microbiology clinical services that we offer to our patients.
