This Monday 21 March marks World Down Syndrome Day. On the occasion, the Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is taking part in the “mismatched socks” operation supported locally by the Trisomie 21 Lëtzebuerg association.

Proclaimed World Down Syndrome Day by the UN General Assembly in 2011, 21 March, or rather 21/3, is a day of solidarity for people with three copies of chromosome 21.

At LNS, employees have mobilised and are wearing today their most beautiful mismatched socks to raise public awareness on the theme of diversity and inclusion.

Because being different is normal, let’s change the way we look at difference and shake things up.
