On 23 and 24 March, LNS proudly took part in and contributed to the Relais pour la Vie solidarity event organised by Fondation Cancer.
With cancer affecting patients both day and night, the Relais pour la Vie event consists of forming teams, either in-person or online, whose members take it in turns to walk or run for 24 hours in support of patients suffering from or surviving cancer. This is how 42 LNS employees, grouped into two teams, came together for the occasion.
As the running event was linked to a fund-raising initiative, a call for donations was launched both internally and externally. Various activities and sales were organised at LNS last week during the breaks, allowing to raise almost EUR 1,000. We would like to sincerely thank our generous donors, whose donations will fund cancer research.
LNS also demonstrated its commitment by hosting a stand by our Medical Expertise and Data Intelligence (MEDI) experts as part of the “Cancer Prevention” course during the Relais pour la Vie event. The service’s nurses presented their sampling activities in the field of environmental medicine. Visitors were able to find out about the main pollutants in a home and their potential impact on health, and receive recommendations for limiting indoor pollution.
