During its last meetings, the Board of Directors of the Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) reported on the evolution of the various reorganization projects and challenges facing the institution, such as the reduction of turn-around times in genetics and anatomopathology, as well as the accreditation process of these different departments.

Considering the imminent challenges that require the implementation of a new strategic plan, the President of the board of directors, Professor Evelin Schröck, as well as the current Director of the LNS, Dr Michel Toungouz Nevessignsky, have announced their respective resignations.

Pending the appointment of a new Director, the day-to-day operations of the LNS will be ensured by the deputy directors, Dr. Thomas Dentzer and Mrs. Safaâ Moujahid, under the responsibility of Dr. Jean-Claude Schmit, Vice-President of the Board of Directors.
