Beginning of the week, the LNS had the pleasure to welcome a delegation of representatives of public research infrastructures in health from Latin American and Caribbean countries. The group of experts travelled to the Grand Duchy to get to know our various research institutes.
In the morning, the group went to the University of Luxembourg to learn a bit more about IBBL – International Biobank of Luxembourg, LCSB – Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine, LIH – Luxembourg Institute of Health, LISER – Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research and LIST – Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. The visit of the facilities of IBBL and LNS was scheduled for the afternoon. After a general overview of thenational health institution by LNS director, Pr. Dr. Friedrich Mühlschlegel, the group was taken in charge by Pr. Dr. Michel Mittelbronn who did not fail to give them the necessary explanations of the National Center of Pathology. The day ended with a friendly dinner in Belval.
On Tuesday morning, the group took the time to learn some more about FNR, Luxembourg National Research Fund, and to take part in a guided tour of the Luxembourg Learning Center, university’s new library, before heading back home!
